Blood Sugar Friendly Spanish-Inspired Bone Broth Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice (white or brown)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ cup yellow onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp Uncracked Pure Sea Moss Gel
  • 2 cups bone broth

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan or skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; Add garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, turmeric, and tomato paste; sauté 1 min until fragrant.
  2. Stir in dry rice. Cook 1–2 min to lightly toast, coating grains with oil and aromatics.
  3. Pour in bone broth and stir well. Bring to a light simmer.
  4. Stir in diced tomato and sea moss gel. Mix thoroughly — it will dissolve into the liquid, slightly thickening it and helping the broth cling to the rice.
  5. Cover and cook over low heat until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender (optional: use rice cooker)
  6. Remove from heat and fluff rice with a fork - enjoy steaming hot!
