Beauty Bars: Strawberry Sea Moss Oatmeal Bars for Hair, Skin & Nails

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups (150 g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (100 g) oat flour
  • ¼ tsp fine salt
  • ½ cups (85 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 heaping cups (300–325 g) chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup Strawberry Beet Sea Moss Gel
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Steps

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 8x8 pan with parchment
  2. Press about ⅔ of the mixture firmly into the lined pan for the base. Reserve the rest for topping. Par-bake base 10 minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook strawberries with a pinch of salt 5–7 minutes until juicy and slightly reduced. Remove from heat; stir in ¼ cup sea moss gel
  4. Spread warm filling over the par-baked base. Crumble the remaining oat mixture evenly on top (pinch into clusters).
  5. Bake. Return to oven 22–28 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling at the edges.
  6. Cool in pan and then cut into squares
