Beauty Bars: Strawberry Sea Moss Oatmeal Bars for Hair, Skin & Nails
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups (150 g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (100 g) oat flour
- ¼ tsp fine salt
- ½ cups (85 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 heaping cups (300–325 g) chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- ¼ cup Strawberry Beet Sea Moss Gel
- ¼ cup maple syrup
Steps
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 8x8 pan with parchment
- Press about ⅔ of the mixture firmly into the lined pan for the base. Reserve the rest for topping. Par-bake base 10 minutes.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook strawberries with a pinch of salt 5–7 minutes until juicy and slightly reduced. Remove from heat; stir in ¼ cup sea moss gel
- Spread warm filling over the par-baked base. Crumble the remaining oat mixture evenly on top (pinch into clusters).
- Bake. Return to oven 22–28 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling at the edges.
- Cool in pan and then cut into squares
